On Wednesday February 13th an AML training was delivered by Manfred Galdes, a lawyer by profession, who has spent the past last seventeen years practising in the area of regulatory compliance – specialising in AML compliance. Dr Galdes has held leading roles both in the private and public sector and has been involved in the drafting of various AML laws in Malta and lectures on a number of related areas. In fact Doctor Galdes led the FIAU in Malta for a number of years.
The training was aimed at senior management, particularly Greentube’s Board Members and Brand Management. The scope of the training was for senior management to be updated on company AML obligations and processes in all jurisdictions where Greentube holds a licence, with a particular focus on UK AML obligations and regulations.
During the training session various topics were discussed including: Requesting the Source of Funds and Source of Wealth to customers, Enhanced Due Diligence requirements, Risk Assessment, Reporting and the 4th and 5th AML Directives.
At the end of the training session, participants were able to discuss at length the topics which were highlighted.
